2021 was a big year for our organization. The past year saw many challenges as we continue to work through the COVID-19 pandemic. One thing that is certain, though, is that those we support, those we employ, and their families alike are an amazing collective. Together, we have navigated the uncertainties of COVID and taken steps to protect everyone.
Over the past year, many positive changes happened in out agency, too. On September 1st, the Cranbrook Society for Community Living (CSCL) and the Creston and District Society for Community Living (CDSCL) formed – by way of an amalgamation – to form NEXUS Community Support Society. These two agencies were both formed in 1956 and have operated in our communities ever since (under different names throughout the years).
Continued efforts to standardize service offerings will pursue into 2022 as we work alongside those we support, our staff, and families to create a robust agency that is equipped to meet the needs of our communities and those who live within them.
