NEXUS Welcomes New COO Sarah Jacklin

We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of Sarah Jacklin as our new Chief Operating Officer (COO)!

Sarah brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as Executive Director at Summit Community Services Society in Cranbrook, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication.

Born and raised in the East Kootenay, Sarah is excited to join NEXUS, believing that our mission and vision are essential to creating inclusive, thriving communities. As she puts it, “Inclusivity drives progress and enriches the lives of residents. By creating inclusive spaces, we all benefit.”

In her new role, Sarah will be overseeing our daily operations, providing strategic guidance, and working closely with our Directors to ensure the highest quality of service delivery across our sites throughout BC’s Interior.

With nearly 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Sarah’s expertise will be instrumental in our ongoing efforts to support communities throughout the region. Her strong background in human resources, labour relations, and program management, coupled with our commitment to fostering an inclusive organizational culture, make her an excellent fit for this pivotal role.

Sarah is particularly enthusiastic about meeting the staff of NEXUS and learning more about what drives them to make a difference in the lives of those they serve. “As NEXUS’ first COO, we look forward to leading through curiosity and growing alongside the organization,” she says, reflecting her passion and dedication.

In her spare time, Sarah enjoys running, spending time in her garden, and enjoying the company of her animals, friends, and family. Please join us in welcoming Sarah Jacklin to the NEXUS team as we continue to grow and enhance our services for communities across BC’s Interior.
