What is Cycling Without Age?
The Cycling Without Age movement started in 2012 in Denmark, when volunteer cyclists started getting nursing home residents out on the road with trishaws. These trishaws allowed elderly people with limited mobility to get back on bikes and experience the thrill, fun, and freedom of riding.
Pilots Wanted
In Cranbrook, we have our own chapter of Cycling Without Age. We’re always looking for pilots who can operate trishaws with elderly companions. Volunteers must be safe riders who observe the rules of the road, and fit enough to operate a trishaw, which is effectively a modified rickshaw
